We believe individualized tutoring is the most effective method of learning.  One-on-one tutoring provides an environment conducive to questions and allows full concentration on the material.  Group sessions are also available for student who are capable of working in a shared environment.

Individualized for your child’s needs
Children have different needs and learning styles. Great care is given to matching a tutor with a student. Every tutor is hand picked to meet the optimum success of each student. Tutors that motivate and inspire and develop a good rapport with the student are important. Of course, our tutors are qualified and experienced teaching professionals. They are also caring, supportive people who know how to help students develop confidence. They motivate them to learn and inspire them to achieve.

Diagnostics
Your child’s initial visit will include a diagnostic test that will quickly and accurately discern areas of strength and weakness and help us to personalize our child’s program.  An additional supplemental instruction path may be recommended in order for the student to progress through sequential skills necessary for success.

Communication
We are always willing to communicate with your child’s teacher.  Due to privacy laws we will ask you to email your child’s teacher first giving permission for us to communicate with them. We are also available to attend IEP’s and other school meetings. Please see our schedule of fees for these services.

Guarantee

We guarantee that you will see improvement of one full grade on your tests in your class at school after 6 weeks of instruction at Math Support. If improvement is less that one grade your child will be eligible to participate in one two hour study hall per week at no additional charge for the next 4 weeks. Tutor qualifications
Our staff is dedicated to helping your child achieve academic excellence and success.  Each of our caring staff has met strict criterion prior to hire.  Staff is required to participate in continued staff development and training throughout the year to assure that your child will receive the best instruction possible.  Instructors work on-site with access to a full library of materials including diagnostic tests coinciding with the student’s curriculum. Supplemental materials are used by staff to clarify and enrich the student’s comprehension. Master Tutors and teachers holding BA/MA and teaching credentials are on staff daily to assist our instructional staff.  Tutors are top students from colleges and universities completing degrees with extensive mathematics requirements.

Goals:
MSS is unique in that we provide instruction that is tailored to the subject the student is enrolled in at their home school.
